Children and youth are not just the future of the church–they are vital right now! We take every opportunity to let our kids serve alongside of adults and lead both in worship and the wider community.
Each Sunday at 9:45 am dedicated volunteers teach both our younger and older children’s classes as they follow a creative curriculum based on Jesus’ teachings. The kids build relationships with each other, God, and their teachers, many of whom are current or retired educators who truly enjoy learning alongside of our kids!
During worship at 11am all children are more than welcome in the sanctuary–don’t worry if they are noisy, we are just glad you’re here. Each week Pastor Abby leads a “Welcoming the Children” time that helps the kids connect with what we’re talking about that day and gives the grown-ups a chance to learn through their leadership. We also have children’s worship bags available in the narthex to help kids engage, and a volunteer in the nursery if younger ones need a quiet space or more freedom to wiggle. All workers within our children’s ministry are background checked.
